My folks came up to Seattle to visit for Mother's Day and I led them through a secret trail in the woods, over the Ballard Locks and across the English gardens to arrive at a sweet little tea & toast stand called Nellie's. It's my new favorite weekend adventure.
My mom and I shared two thick perfectly browned pieces of gourmet toast, one with cheese & apple butter, the other with cheese & lutencia, a delicious relish of tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and garlic. Now I can't stop craving toast!
