I assume most people would find these abandoned houses sad. But I find them fascinating. Imagine the stories they tell. I try not to look at the failure and loss they might represent, but instead see them as well-loved once upon a time. Like the Velveteen Rabbit  :)

Getting LOST Tonight

My LOST lovers, never mind the fact that these photos looks like an engagement shoot between Jack and Kate. But still, how cute are they? Are you excited for the final season premiere tonight?

My LOST non-lovers, maybe you should get on the bandwagon so you can appreciate this post in all it's glory!  ;)  You'd have a lot to catch up on. But telly marathons are the most fun! During the 3rd season of LOST, I watched the entire first two seasons in one rainy cozy winter weekend.

Elie Saab Spring 2010 Couture Dresses

I began collecting images of the type of gown I wanted to wear in my video. One of the visuals was going to be of me walking along a beach at night singing to the camera. Wouldn't these have been perfect with the flowy fabric and high slits? Just the right amount of sweet and sexy. Very Lorelei. Hopefully I'll get a chance to wear something like this again one day.

A Glass Half Full

 

Hello my loves. Remember when I told you the big exciting news about my band, Lorelei's first music video? Well...sadly, I spoke too soon. Our producer, who also happened to be my dear friend, has quit, taking the entire crew with her. I'll spare you the details.

I should have been prepared for something like this. I mean, it's the entertainment industry after all. But I'm still bummed beyond words. Not only is our video not going to happen, but it seems I've lost a best friend in the process, which is like a dagger to my heart.

This blog is about happiness, however. So instead of lamenting my woes (that was last week), I'm now just trying to accept what happened as meant to be and hope greener pastures lie ahead. But it's not easy. My sweet friends, I'd love to know...how do you cope when life pulls a fast one? How do you remain positive and view the glass half full when you don't see any water at all?

The kitten helps  :)
