Bunny Totes

These little bunnies actually unfold into totes! Hal is obsessed with his regular nylon tote because it folds perfectly into his back pocket. He transfers it to every pair of jeans just in case he has to pick something up from the store. Me, I don't carry things in my back pockets. But I might carry these rabbits around for their sheer cuteness.

Teacups

Teacups are lovely just as they are. But I'm discovering many different DIY uses for them. A collection of vintage teacups can make a fabulous wall display. Fill them with soil to make a sweet little moss garden. Pour scented wax inside to make aromatherapy teacup candles. Or affix them on ornate pedestals in your backyard to make a bird bath.

Moov Rain Boots

I've found them! I've been looking for a good rain boot for awhile now...I mean, I do live in Seattle. These waterproof boots are by MoovCulture and are lined with 100% Australian Merino wool. Don't they look so cute and cozy?

A Narnia Wedding

This wedding didn't actually happen, but it is beautiful nonetheless. Doesn't it remind you of The Chronicles of Narnia? It was a photo shoot for Style Me Pretty's From Inspiration To Reality series. I've always played with the idea, but now I am dying to have a winter wedding...and I'm not even engaged yet! Hi Hal  :)

Girly Retro Aprons

I was in Anthropologie last night and about died when I saw their massive collection of girly retro aprons. Now, I usually don't considered myself the domestic type. And after wearing an apron every day of my life while working at Safeway in high school, I normally wouldn't dare.

But these are definitely an exception. They could almost be considered dresses (if you don't turn around). I want to put one on, transport myself to 1955 and bake a cake.  Betty Draper, watch out!

Pebbles, Stones & Rocks

Rocks are my newest little obsession. I find them to be very zen. Especially ones that are soft. And ones that are crayons. And ones that are hollow and can hold things. So many uses for a simple element of the outdoors we often take for granted and step on.

Such a fun idea. The Pencil Factory is a collaboration between 15 artists. For $10, you can buy a piece of news print featuring each of their artwork. Why in the world would you buy a sheet of news print?  Here are 15 (very practical) reasons:

Calendar Love

It used to be a tradition in my family that we'd each get a calendar for Christmas. For some reason we stopped, but if we hadn't, these 3 calendars would definitely be at the top of my list for 2010:

1. Midcentury Modern by P.S. Paper Goods: Each month has its own classic piece of furniture. I can't afford the actual furniture, so this is the next best thing, right? I love the color palette.

2. Petit Paris by Little Brown Pen: Nichole just unveiled this project! She and her husband put their collection of favorite Paris images and put them on small printable cards that fit in your wallet.

3. Jim Flora Hand-Printed: You might recognize Jim Flora's famous retro album covers from the 50's and 60's. The calendars are available in either Boogie-Beat Drummer, Stardust Moon or Swingin' Sax.

Maybe I should just restart this little calendar giving tradition of ours.

Musical Fruit

"The more you eat, the more you..."  Well, these apples and pears aren't for eating, they're for listening. Have you seen them at West Elm? Each piece of fruit is a little wooden music box. The pear plays Chopin's "Nocturne" and the apple plays Bacharach’s “What the World Needs Now Is Love". So cute!

An English Countryside Cottage

I'm dreaming of escaping to this cozy little cottage in Cotswolds, England, just 2 hours outside of London. It feels like the perfect place for solitude. I've heard of artists going to a remote location to write an album's worth of songs at once. I could definitely do that here. Isn't it charming?
