A Bubble Chandelier

I think I found the lamp I want to hang above my dining room table. Isn't it gorgeous? This bubble chandelier was designed by Jean Pelle for ReadyMade Magazine. It's composed of 12 hand-blown glass balls and 3 clear globe bulbs. Now if I only had $350...

A Rope Necklace

I am inspired by this wool rope necklace made by Hikaru Furuhashi of Wonder Wonder.  It's a necklace and scarf in one.  Love it!

Cheese!

Do you love cheese as much as me?  It is safe to say that cheese is my favorite food.  I could probably live off cheese and bread if I wanted to. I got my mom a cheese making kit for her birthday. She ran with it and cheese making became her new hobby. Now she makes amazing homemade cheeses from scratch and writes about her experiences on her blog, Curds & Whey.

My girlfriends from LA recently came to the Northwest and we paid a visit to my folks' house for a cheese making class.  We made panir and it was so tasty!  The looks on our faces says it all  :)

Candie Payne

Awhile back, my music producer, Warren Riker, gave my EP to his friend at a major label in Europe.  As it turned out, they had to pass on me because I was apparently too similar to a British girl they just signed a distribution deal with, Candie Payne.  As much as I wanted to hate her, I ended up loving her since we have the same influences and retro stye.  She has been likened to a modern Dusty Springfield.  

Here is her song, I Wish I Could Have Loved You More, which I still listen to on repeat.  The beat is killer. She ended up doing a song with the incredible Mark Ronson, but I never thought it lived up to this one.

Missing old school playgrounds from my youth.  The rocket one looks like it's from the 2070's!  They sure don't make them like they used to.  Safety - schmafety.

A Photography Book on Evenings

I came across this fabulous self-published photography book by Maria Vettese and Stephanie Congdon Barnes called 3191: Evenings. The concept is so incredibly clever.  Each photographer captured a daily moment of their lives between the hours of 5pm - 10pm and paired them side by side in this book.  They live 3191 miles apart.  It's quite amazing how some of their photos correlate.

Leanimal Dresses

I've been following Leanne Marshall ever since she won Project Runway a few seasons back.  After being closed for some time, her Etsy shop recently re-opened!  She listed this gorgeous wedding dress for sale.  Wouldn't it be perfect for a casual spring or summer outdoor wedding?  I don't know if I'd personally go for a short gown, but it still makes me wish I was getting married in the near future!

Mid-Century Architecture

If you know me at all, to say I am obsessed with mid-century architecture and design might be an understatement.  I want this to be my future house.  Except overlooking a body of water.  With a tiny bit of upgrades here and there (replace hardwood flooring for that rumpled carpet).  Otherwise I wouldn't touch it! 

I truly wish they still made houses like these today.  I also truly wish people would stop ruining these little gems by remodeling them.

Bird-Shaped Tea Bags

I love tea.  I love bird-shaped tea bags even more.  What a lovely origami inspired design by Nathalia Ponomareva from Russia.  How sweet are these?
